EDUCATION & TRAINING
Dr. Kelley attended college and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Miami University and is a Gamma Theta Phi Chemistry Honorary. Following graduation, Dr. Kelley enrolled in the Ohio State University College of Medicine, where he completed his Doctorate of Medicine. He completed his internship at Bronson and Borgess Hospitals in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Eager to further his education, Dr. Kelley’s next step was the completion of his ophthalmology residency at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan where he also served as the Chief Resident in 1982. He then went on to complete his fellowship in Corneal and Anterior Segment Surgery at the LSU Eye Center in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Kelley is certified to perform laser surgery to treat nearsightedness, astigmatism and farsightedness
SKILLS & EXPERTISE
Dr. Curtin Kelley is known for his experience and expertise in refractive surgery, as he has performed over 10,000 LASIK/PRK surgeries since he began his refractive surgery practice in 1978.
EXTRACURRICULAR INVOLVEMENT
Investigator on early NIH and FDA studies of RK and excimer laser refractive surgery.
Extensive training in LASIK in Shanghai, China in 1996.
Performed LASIK surgery on Bobby Rahal, Brian Herta, John Cooper, and several former
Buckeye Football players, in addition to his own brother and sister-in-law.
Had PRK and LASIK surgery himself in 1997.
HOBBIES & PERSONAL INTERESTS
Dr. Kelley has been a husband since 1974 to Debby, father to three sons, including identical twins. Dr. Kelley also enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.
