Wendy-A.-Kirkland-M.D.

Dr. Kirkland is a native of Columbus, OH. She grew up in Dublin and graduated high school from the The Wellington School in Upper Arlington. She then pursued a combined BS/MD program at the University of Akron and Northeast Ohio Medical University. While in medical school, she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society and graduated at the top of her class.

She went on to complete a preliminary medicine year at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH followed by her ophthalmology residency at Georgetown University and Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. While at Georgetown, she served as chief resident during her final year of residency. She continued her training in glaucoma at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York City under the direction of Drs. Robert Ritch and Jeffrey Liebmann, former president of the American Glaucoma Society.

She returns to Columbus with her husband Ryan, who is a practicing dermatologic surgeon in the area and also an Ohio native.
